Jack Robison is looking like he will be the next great Wisconsin Badger to come out of the state of Minnesota. For years now, it has been a trend for outstanding Minnesota high school basketball players to commit too the Wisconsin Badgers over the Minnesota Gophers; especially players from Lakeville North. Jack Robison will be next in this trend as he follows Lakeville North stars like Nathan Reuvers (2017), Tyler Wahl (2019), and Nolan Winter (2023). This past season as a junior, Robison averaged 15 points per game and shot 38 percent from thee to help lead Lakeville north to a third place finish in the class 4A Minnesota state tournament. As a senior Robison should be one of the top scorers in Minnesota, his shot creating and shooting skills are some of the best in the state. In this article, I will be highlighting the prospect of Jack Robison.

Jack Robison has seen a huge increase in his stock this spring after impressive play on the EYCL circuit for team Howard Pulley. For the first two sessions of the EYCL, Robison was playing under the shadows of Jackson McAndrew (Wayzata) and Daniel Freitag (Bloomington Jefferson). However, in the last session of the EYCL, Jack Robison put all his skills on display. The lefty was a scoring machine during the last during this past weekend as he averaged 22.5 points per game. At 6’6, Robison is hard to keep up with. He is a 3 level scorer who can hit some tough shots from all areas of the floor. He is excellent in the mid range game and he is very efficient off catch and shoot threes. He also likes to post up smaller defenders and use his size advantage in the post which is perfect for the Badgers playstyle. Robison also has a very high IQ, which allows him to be a great off the ball player. Robison’s high IQ also allows him to be a sneaky good passer. Robison is also not afraid to take a charge or go and get a hustle rebound. The 6’6 lefty is a great all around player and he seems like a great fit for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Recruitment

Currently, Jack Robison is a 3 star rated recruit according to 247 Sports.com and he is a top 150 recruit in the country for the class of 2024. Robison is the number 3 ranked player in the state of Minnesota. He has received 5 D1 offers so far and he probably will not receive much more due to to his early commitment. He had offers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, St. Thomas, and South Florida. He committed to the Wisconsin Badgers very early on as he committed on October 25, 2022. His commitment was only a few days after his official visit, so the Badgers coaching staff must have done a great job with the visit. Normally, it is very hard for early commitments to stay loyal to a school but I bet Robison will in fact stay loyal to the Badgers. Robison looks like a great player for the Badgers system. Wisconsin is also amazing at developing physical players and that is what he needs.

Jack Robison is one of the top scorers from the state of Minnesota and he is a knockdown shooter. Robison will be a dangerous player, if Wisconsin can help him develop the physical tools that he is missing. He will be the next great Badger from the Lakeville North Panthers pipeline.
