The Twin Cities basketball Pro-Am is only a week away and this year’s rosters look better then ever. Most of these rosters are filled with former Minnesota high school basketball legends. The Pro-Am also has a few current Minnesota high school legends on the rosters as well. These players are upcoming seniors and they are still building their legendary stories. These players are Casmir Chavis, Jack Robison, Daniel Freitag, and Jackson McAndrew. You have to be the best out of the best in order to play in a Pro-Am as a high schooler. I can confidently say these four are the best out of the best when it comes to Minnesota high school basketball. It will be fun to see how these high schoolers perform against some top tier talent.
The 2023 Twin Cities Pro-Am season should be a very competitive one and I am going to preview the four high schoolers that will be playing in it.
Team 4 The Love: Casmir Chavis
Casmir Chavis is one of the most electric players from the 2024 Minnesota high school recruiting class. His athleticism has allowed him to become a fan favorite in Minnesota high school hoops. He currently is a 3 star recruit and he holds multiple D1 offers. Last year, he played in the Pro-Am for Strictly BBall and now he is suiting up for Team 4 The Love. He should be a super fun player to watch, his explosive playstyle will be very entertaining for fans at the Twin Cities Pro-Am this year.
EC Playaz: Jack Robison
Jack Robison is one of the top shot creators/shooters in the state of Minnesota. The Wisconsin Badger commit will be a bucket getter for the EC Playaz this Pro-Am season. Last year, I watched Robison hold his own as an upcoming junior at the Twin Cities Pro-Am league. Robison was instant offense as he was knocking down catch and shoot threes, pull up mid ranges, and setting up his teammates for open looks. I was super impressed on how polished his game was last year as an upcoming junior, and from then it has only gotten better. At 6’6, Robison is hard to keep up with. He is a 3 level scorer who can hit some tough shots from all areas of the floor. He is excellent in the mid range game and he is very efficient off catch and shoot threes. Robison also has a very high IQ, which allows him to be a great off the ball player. Robison’s high IQ also allows him to be a sneaky good passer. The 6’6 lefty is a great all around player and he seems like he will be a nice addition to the EC Playaz.

Strictly BBall: Daniel Freitag
Daniel Freitag looks to have another exciting Pro-Am season with Team Strictly Bball. He helped Strictly BBall’s TikTok account gain millions of views during last year’s Pro-Am season. Freitag is probably the best high school athlete in the state of Minnesota right now. He had high-major D1 offers for football and basketball, but he ultimately chose to play basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers. Freitag is one of the top floor generals in the country, as he led the Nike EYCL in assists per game at 5.2. His elite instincts allow him to be a great on-ball defender. He has a consistent three point shot and he can score in a variety of ways. Freitag is also a flashy finisher around the rim and fans should expect to see some highlight dunks from Freitag at the Twin Cities Pro-Am this season. Daniel Freitag and Team Strictly BBall will go viral this Pro-Am season due to Strictly BBall’s large following on TikTok. Strictly BBall will help wake the county up on Freitag after he has some impressive performances during the Twin Cities Pro-Am season.
Team Tyus: Jackson McAndrew
I think Jackson McAndrew is currently the best player in Minnesota high school basketball. This is McAndrew’s first year playing in the Pro-Am and he will be playing with Team Tyus. His pro-style game will be a great fit for the reigning league champions. McAndrew’s playstyle is the perfect example of modern basketball. The 6’10 wing is a lights out shooter with very smooth ball handling. He has been blowing up on the high school basketball scene for the past few months. He dominated the Minnesota state championship game and became one of the top scorers on the Nike EYCL circuit. Scouts started to classify McAndrew as one of the best shooters in the country after some great performances on the Nike EYCL circuit. It will be interesting to see how well McAndrew will play alongside some of the top true point guards in the NBA (Tre and Tyus Jones). Jackson McAndrew will attract a lot of new fans and he will prove why he is one of the most underrated recruits in the country.
These four players are probably the four best players in the state of Minnesota right now. They will look to prove that as the Pro-Am season goes along. These young stars will be playing along side plenty of former Minnesota high school legends. Everyone loves to come and watch Tre or Tyus Jones and they remember how dominant they were in high school. Soon enough, these four players will be Minnesota high school legends and they will have people coming back to watch them again at the Twin Cities Pro-Am as they get older.
