This summer was the summer of 2024 wing Isaiah Johnson-Arigu. He started with 6 offers at the beginning of the spring and he finished the summer with 21. These offers are not just from mid-major schools, a majority of them are from big time power 5 schools. The 6’7 explosive wing showcased that he has all the tools and athleticism to play for a major college basketball program.

Currently, Isaiah Johnson-Arigu is ranked #91 in country and #2 in Minnesota according to on3.com.

Here is an edit I made showing how many offers Isaiah Johnson-Arigu truly has!

Johnson-Arigu was overshadowed by a stellar group of seniors during his junior year at Totino-Grace. He played with with 3 other division one offered players including Ohio State commit Taison Chatman. However he still had a huge role in their state championship run.

Now, it is Johnson-Arigu’s time to shine. He will be the number one option this year for Totino-Grace and he should put up some big numbers for them. Totino-Grace has reloaded this year with young talent and Johnson-Arigu will look to lead the Eagles to their third straight state championship.

As a Prospect

Isaiah Johnson-Arigu is one of if not the top two-way player in Minnesota. His 7’0 wingspan allows him to be a monster on the defensive end. He excels at shot-blocking, on-ball defense, and even off-ball defense. His wingspan plus his 6’7 frame gives him the ability to guard nearly anybody on the court.

Johnson-Arigu is also a very talented player on the offensive end as well. Due to his athletic tools, he is a problem around the rim. His exceptional vertical helps him soar over defenders for poster dunks and acrobatic layups. He also has a great first step, which allows him to blow by his defenders for easy buckets around the rim. Johnson-Arigu is also very solid in the mid-range game. He likes to get to his spots in the mid-range and his signature move is his turnaround jumper.

Overall, Isaiah Johnson-Arigu is a freak of nature. I see why he gained so much attention from all these college coaches this summer. He has some gifted athletic and physical tools that not many high schoolers have. His two-way ability will set him up for great success on the next level. Johnson-Arigu should dominate Minnesota high school basketball this upcoming winter and I predict that he will be an all-state player. The potential is through the roof with this kid and I am excited to see how his future pans out.
