Isaiah Johnson-Arigu, one of Minnesota’s brightest prospects has just made his college decision. The 6’7 forward chose Miami over schools like Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Northwestern, and Iowa. His stock exploded this summer and he became one of the best two-way players in all of the Midwest.
He is currently ranked #90 by On3 and #134 by 247 Sports. Johnson-Arigu is also regarded as one of the top players in Minnesota and he will be a candidate for Mr. Basketball this upcoming season.
Johnson-Arigu is the second player to commit to Miami for their 2024 recruiting class. He will join fellow four star Austin Swartz, who is from North Carolina.
As a Prospect
Isaiah Johnson-Arigu is one of if not the top two-way player in Minnesota. His 7’0 wingspan allows him to be a monster on the defensive end. He excels at shot-blocking, on-ball defense, and even off-ball defense. His wingspan plus his 6’7 frame gives him the ability to guard nearly anybody on the court. Johnson-Arigu has some gifted athletic and physical tools that not many high schoolers have. Overall, Johnson-Arigu is a freak of nature and he will right in with the ACC in his future.
Johnson-Arigu has some of the best potential in the country and we still haven’t seen him hit his peak yet. He will continue to grow as a player with Totino-Grace and his two-way ability will fit perfectly with Miami. It will be fun to finally see a Minnesotan playing in the Southeast; and the state of Minnesota will be rooting for him as his career pans out.
